Founded in 2001, Networks Unlimited has grown and evolved from a small computer sales and networking operation to a prominent, full service IT provider.
Meet the Networks Unlimited Team
Mark is the President of Networks Unlimited. He started the company in 2001. Since then, Networks Unlimited has grown and evolved tremendously. Mark has lived in Maryland, Spain, Washington DC, Germany, California, South Dakota, and Mississippi as a military brat. He met his wife Amy, a Grand Junction local, in college. After living in Seattle for a few years they decided Grand Junction was a better place to raise their family.
In his free time Mark will be hunting, mountain biking, snowboarding and spending time with his family and friends.
Robert, or Rob, as most people know him, is originally from Grand Junction. After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and management, he spent a few years in New Mexico and Denver. He later returned to Grand Junction with his wife to raise his two daughters. Rob is the outside sales consultant and account manager for Networks Unlimited. His backgrounds in marketing and management have made him an invaluable part of the Networks Unlimited Team. He also holds certifications in Lifesize, Jive Communications, and Microsoft Partners, all services that Networks Unlimited provides.
When Rob is not working, he and his family have a lot of fun. He may be in kitchen trying out a new recipe or creating one of his own. “I am good chef. I love to cook, try new things and am always looking to improve a dish that I make,” says Rob. He and his family can also be found enjoying the outdoors whether it is skiing, hiking, at a sporting event, or at a classic car show. He and his family often have a restoration project of their own going on.
Chris is originally from the Front Range but spent several years in Las Vegas where he was a professional musician. While in Las Vegas, Chris earned his Microsoft Certified Professional certification. He and his wife moved to Grand Junction in 2006 to be closer to their families. Chris splits his time at work answering phones on the help desk, fixing computers on the workbench and addressing customers’ issues onsite. In his free time, Chris and his wife enjoy performing with their classic rock band Vintage Voltage in local night clubs and at community events.
Anthony, or Tony, as he is known at Networks Unlimited grew up in Denver moved to the Grand Junction area when he was 16. He earned a BS in computer science and he puts that degree to work every day as a managed services system administrator for Networks Unlimited. Tony is very good at building plans and following through with them. Fittingly, Tony says that if he were a cartoon character, he would be Bugs Bunny, because like Bugs, he always has a plan. When he is not working, you can find Tony gaming or outside on a dirt bike.
Lauren moved to Grand Junction from Jacksonville, Florida when she was younger and has lived in the valley since. She visits Jacksonville often, but Grand Junction is her home. In fact, her roots are so deep here that her great-grandfather homesteaded on Glade Park then came to the Grand Valley and developed businesses in the area.
Since earning her BA in Public Relations and Advertising at Colorado Mesa University, she has worked on numerous marketing projects and events. She is excited to be a part of the Networks team and help contribute to the business' growth.
In her free time, Lauren is drawing, riding her beach cruiser bike downtown, hiking, or volunteering her time. If she were Disney Character, she would be Pocahontas. Like Pocahontas, she loves all animals, so much so that she has even had pet rats!
Darrell was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. He originally worked in the construction field but wanted a warm inside office job so he went to school for computer programming. The company he went to work for after school transferred him to their corporate office in Las Vegas and then relocated their corporate office to Grand Junction.
At Networks he is responsible for scheduling all service calls and coordinating project installations. He provide backup support to our Help Desk and Field Engineers. Currently, he is certified with HP for Printer, Desktop, Laptop and Server Warranty repairs.
When asked about what he is really good at he says, “I feel that I am really good at fixing things, just not vehicles.”
In his free time Darrell loves spending time with his wife and go on road trips with their motorcycle.
Sean grew up in Montrose CO, and came to Grand Junction to work for Networks Unlimited. He works on the Help Desk and is working towards a Computer Engineering Degree. He is really good at cooking just about anything on a grill. He enjoys snowboarding during the appropriate time of year and riding his bicycle.
Mark was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana and lived there and in the surrounding area for most of his life. “I’ve always wanted to move out west. In 2013 I decided to pull up stakes and move to Montrose at the invitation of an old friend. It’s been a big change, but a great experience. Coming from plains, snow, and cornfields, it feels like living in a post card,” says mark
Mark studied Interactive Multimedia at Purdue University and has a BS in Computer Graphics Technology. Since graduating, his interests shifted toward IT support. He has provided support for county government and for business and residential customers.
Mark is really good at explaining technology concepts to nontechnical people and says,” I like making complicated ideas more relatable and accessible.”
He really enjoys traveling, visiting national parks, hiking, fishing, and gaming.
Mike joins the Networks Unlimited Team as a Help Desk Technician. Mike has been interested in and worked with computers for years. He now joins our help desk to assist callers with their computer and networking problems. Callers can receive help from anything from internet connectivity issues to virus removal from the help desk. He is excited to join Networks Unlimited for the opportunity to learn new skills in a professional environment. Mike is an avid mountain biker and hits the local trails any chance he can. If you see him out, say hello!
Becky grew up in Montrose, where she found a fascination and love of being outdoors. If she's not at work you can most likely find her on a boat in the middle of some lake or exploring an old historical town.
After she graduated, she moved to Grand Junction to help out family and decided to stay and call Grand Junction home.
She has an associate’s degree in Business and Medical billing and would love to go back to finish her accounting degree.
She loves being a mom and says, "The one thing I pride myself on being good at, is making Mickey Mouse pancakes!"
Preston is vice president and service manager at Networks Unlimited and has been with the company since 2005. He has been in the information technology field since 1990 after graduating with an Associates in Applied Science in Electronics.
He was born in Sacramento, but his parents moved him and his brother to the area because they thought Grand Junction was a more suitable place to raise their two boys.
His family owns a share in a houseboat buoyed at Bullfrog Marina, so in their spare time, he and his family enjoy boating at Lake Powell. Preston also likes to golf and travel with his family as much as he possibly can.
Robert joined Networks Unlimited in 2006 as Director of Managed Services. Robert has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Purdue University. Robert’s professional career in Information Technology has included stops in Minneapolis, Wichita, Milwaukee and Atlanta before arriving in Grand Junction. Robert spent his childhood summers on his Grandfather’s cattle ranch in the Unaweep Canyon, and always knew he would end up living on the Western Slope. Robert is a proud fan of every Chicago sports team (his birthplace)- especially the Bears and the Blackhawks. Robert is a Rotarian with the Horizon Sunrise Rotary in Grand Junction. Robert and his wife, Elizabeth, enjoy travel and peace and quiet when they aren't entertaining their 11 nieces and nephews.
Drew is originally from New Mexico, Drew has lived in Grand Junction since 2001 and started working with Networks Unlimited in 2008. Drew earned a degree in Network Information Technology and uses that degree as a network engineer with Networks Unlimited. He is also certified in CSS Customer Service by ETA, CompTIA A+ Certified, Brainbench certified in Microsoft Security and Storage Area Networks. Drew also has 2 years of advanced 3D computer animation and computer art education; now a hobby. If he isn't working with a computer, Drew is riding dirt bikes, fishing, or training for a fight. He is also the reigning undefeated Street Fighter 2 Tournament Champion of Western Colorado.
Joe was born and raised on a farm in Fruita, Colorado and is currently living on the same property today. He is a Network Engineer for Networks Unlimited and earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from Mesa State College. He also has numerous certifications including Cisco CCNA, and Network +. Joe is a great problem solver and says, “I also have an uncanny knack for being able to read the most boring technical documentation and not falling asleep. I’m also really really good at digging ditches, go figure.”
Meghann grew up in Canon City. She moved to Grand Junction in 2009 because of her now husband. She works inside sales and procurement for Networks Unlimited.
Meghann has developed a strong palette for wines and is very good at picking wines since previously working at a winery . “But, I haven’t tested this skill since finding out Quincy was on her way.” Quincy is Meghann’s daughter that was born in 2012.
In her free time Meghann is outside with her husband and daughter as often as possible when the weather is nice. They enjoy camping, hiking, and fishing, hunting. “Although Andy would love it, I do not hunt. I got my hunters safety card last year but I will be surprised if I ever actually use it! I just tag along as a scout,” says Meghann.
Derek grew up in Fruita, Colorado and has roots in Grand Junction going back several generations.
At Networks Unlimited Derek primarily assists customers via the helpdesk, resolving issues through remote sessions but often assists customers on-site as an auxiliary systems engineer.
He has earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Networks and Telecommunication as well as two years of Cisco Networking Academy training. He is currently working on finishing up his Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Computer Information System Business focusing on database administration and Information System (IS) management.
In his free time, Derek will be snowboarding, doing recreational outdoors activities, watching a movie, and any constructive activities.
Judy is the office and accounting manager at Networks Unlimited. She grew up in Montrose, Colorado and has grown up loving the outdoors. Some of Judy’s favorite things to do are hiking, spending time in the mountains, exploring old mines and traveling. Vancouver British Columbia is one of her favorite places to visit. She spends a lot of time at a yurt in Ouray. You should definitely look it up if you have not ever heard of one!
Gibran has grown up in various parts of the valley and lived in Palisade, Grand Junction, and Fruita. He first became interested in IT after visiting his family in California who work in the technology industry.
Since 2008, Gibran has worked and gained professional experience in information technology in Grand Junction. We are excited to have him continue his career in IT with Networks Unlimited. When asked what his favorite part of working in IT is he says, ”I like that every day is different.”
Greg grew up in central Pennsylvania where he received his BS in Mathematics Education, and went to school for computer programming.
He moved to southern California where he began a career in IT. He and his wife moved to Montrose in 2001 so they could be closer to his wife’s family.
In the summer, he spends most of his free time gardening, landscaping, just maintaining their 5-acre property just outside of Montrose.
Mike is the latest addition to our team and he is joining the managed services department. He is busy training for his new position at the moment but he'll have his bio up soon!
